Newport Mind

Why support us?
A person we helped said "I was desperate. Without the kids I would have killed myself. Then I found out about Newport Mind and they introduced me to others who know what I had gone through, because they had been there themselves.  Things are better for me now but there are thousands of others still out there.  Please help Newport Mind to continue this vital work for everyone with experience of mental distress."

The need
Mental health problems can affect anyone, rich or poor, young or old, shattering the lives of those affected and the people close to them.  One in four of us will experience a mental health problem at some point in our lives.  Each year more than 250,000 people are admitted to psychiatric hospitals and over 4,000 people take their own lives.  For 30 years Newport Mind has been leading the way in working to improve the quality of life of people in and around Newport who experience mental distress.

How you will help us
Your help will enable us to continue to offer our vital services and reach out to the people that need us most.

Thank you! for your support.
